Jackson is now capable of reading age-appropriate texts. It is wonderful to witness him celebrating his own achievements as he confidently recognises the plethora of sound combinations, using the ‘rules’ he has uncovered through Rebecca's programme. Rather than approaching reading tasks with trepidation, Jackson now has an expectation of personal success.

Ruth

Zayden's confidence has increased dramatically he is willing to give things a go and in class is asking to read from the board. Every week we notice a difference in his reading and writing, we are very proud of how hard he is working.

Cara

Our son’s confidence and happiness at school has increased dramatically since working with Rebecca. Only after 1 term with Rebecca, we started seeing results and he hasn’t stopped improving since.

Lindsay

Luke's confidence has grown and he is now a much more positive boy. He was previously quite negative and would constantly tell me he had no friends and played by himself. He seemed really down on himself, however since starting tutoring, his attitude has become much more positive and he is much more confident.

Belinda

Her confidence has definitely increased. She seems to be really enjoying learning with Rebecca rather than it being a struggle like at school. I think that is mainly because Rebecca makes it super fun and customises it to what Ivy likes, but also because she goes at a pace that suits Ivy’s individual needs. Ivy can slowly build her confidence rather than always trying to catch up.

Hannah

Lucas has a little bit more confidence with his reading. He is more focused with the homework and is more willing to do it.

Heidi

My son is remembering what he is being taught about word patterns which is helping him with his spelling of words. We are both especially amazed at how his learning is progressing.

Suzie

Her confidence has increased so much in such a short amount of time. I can see Miranda using the spelling rules she has learnt when writing words and correcting her mistakes and also when she is reading to decode word.

Lisa

The online aspect helps with the ease of adding another after school activity for the kids. Miranda loves every lesson with Rebecca which shows Rebecca has built a trust with Miranda and the online aspect has not affected this at all.

Lisa

The online aspect of tutoring has surpassed any hope we had for the program. Our son is engaged and focused during his lessons. He hangs out for the tiny virtual breaks with Rebecca in the world they have created together. We are super surprised at how much he enjoys it in comparison to normal school work.

Lindsay

Rebecca very quickly developed a rapport with Jackson, accepting, and taking in her stride, his ‘quirks’, his humour and his need for movement. This makes the weekly, online sessions something that Jackson looks forward to and has enabled him to see Rebecca as a partner in his literacy journey, more so than an authority figure. Jackson loves to use Rebecca's online platform to engage with the online games and requires NO encouragement to practice his newly learned skills. The visuals have also been a big hit with him.

Ruth

Initially I was very hesitant as I didn't think Luke would like or adapt to online tutoring but he surprised me and he really enjoys it and seems to get a lot from each lesson.

Belinda

He loves the Koala classroom for learning! Online is the new way of learning and he prefers it to having a tutor with him in person.

Suzie

Online is great. Living rural we are very used to using online platforms for appointments. Zayden responds very well to it.

Cara

Lucas loves it! He is use to technology and using online content due to lockdowns. I am surprised and happy on how well it is working.

Heidi

It suits us really well. Ivy loves technology so that’s fun for her. Also, we have a hectic schedule of activities and work and being able to jump online rather than getting somewhere and getting back suits us great. Originally we wanted to do face to face but this is much better for our lives.

Hannah

Do it! I have nothing negative to say only so many positives! It has been absolutely fantastic for us and do it earlier rather than later. We were told by the school not to do tutoring, don’t put the extra pressure on etc. What we didn’t understand is that specifically trained tutors are completely different to normal tutors. If I had understood the benefits of this, I would have done it so much earlier to avoid Ivy falling so far behind.

Hannah

Do it! I have recommended you to a few families and also on a Dyslexic group on Facebook.

Heidi

Rebecca is wonderful. She is calm, relaxed and patient. She is thoughtful and takes her time in helping Zayden grasp concepts. Rebecca listens to Zayden and understands his needs and the challenges Zayden faces. She has built a fantastic rapport with Zayden and ensures he feels success in all his lessons.

Cara

P L E A S E do your child the favour by investing in this programme! It works!!!! And you would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable, accepting, patient, warm, professional tutor. Rebecca's response to any concerns/queries we have had along the way have been managed in a surprisingly expedient timeframe. Rebecca makes a point to remedy ‘problems’ so efficiently and calmly that it could easily give the impression that Jackson is her sole client. She is an exceptionally passionate and talented professional!

Ruth

I would without a doubt highly recommend The Dyslexic Clinic. Rebecca is always extremely helpful and always goes beyond to help not only her students, but us as parents too. The starter kit you receive when you first sign up to the Clinic makes the whole process a simple one. And the homework resources are so very helpful in aiding us as parents to help our children recall the rules they have learnt.

Lisa

It is absolutely worth it. All my doubts have disappeared and I can see the difference that it's making both academically and socially.

Belinda

Go for it! I couldn’t recommend tutoring with The Dyslexic Clinic more. The changes we have seen have surpassed our hopes and dreams for our son’s literacy advancement!

Lindsay

I would highly recommend it as I have seen the evidence in my son. Not only is he more confident with his academic skills, but he is also excited to learn. To me, that is all the positives I need to continue with Rebecca. Rebecca is approachable and committed to the individual needs of my son.
